No Surprises Act - Good Faith Estimate
The No Surprises Act, effective January 2022, protects patients from unexpected medical bills for out-of-network care in emergency situations or when they unknowingly receive out-of-network services. It requires healthcare providers and insurers to give patients a "Good Faith Estimate" (GFE) of the cost of non-emergency services before treatment, ensuring transparency and reducing unexpected charges. This law aims to eliminate surprise billing, improving financial predictability for patients. It applies to most healthcare settings, including hospitals, doctors, and air ambulance services. What You Need to Know:

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate - Under the law, if you're uninsured or prefer not to use insurance, you are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) for the services you will receive. This estimate will include the expected cost of your treatment before you begin services.

How Accurate is the Estimate?
The estimate reflects the cost based on a typical treatment plan. However, your actual costs may vary depending on the frequency of sessions and your individual treatment plan. For example, if we meet more or less often than expected, the total cost may change, but we'll keep you informed. -
Disputing Overcharges
If you receive a bill that exceeds your Good Faith Estimate by $400 or more, you have the right to dispute the charge.
Your Good Faith Estimate:
Here’s an example of what the estimate may look like if you're paying out-of-pocket (fee-for-service):

Initial Diagnostic Evaluation (CPT 90791) = $200.00

Psychotherapy Sessions: 19 sessions = $150 per session. $150.00 x 19 = $2,850.00

Total Estimated Cost (without insurance):

$200.00 (Diagnostic evaluation) + $2,850.00 (19 psychotherapy sessions) = $3,050.00

These are average estimates, but the exact cost will depend on your treatment needs, if you prefer weekly or biweekly appointments. We will always update you on any changes to the estimated charges and you can request an estimate at anytime.
*** No Show/Cancellations fees - Appointments cancelled with less then 24 hours notice incur a charge of 100.00 Appointments the are no showed of cancelled after the start time of the appointment will incur a charge of the full session cost 150.00

Treatment Modifications and Discontinuation
You are in control of your treatment. You can choose to modify the frequency, duration, or approach to therapy at any time, and you are free to discontinue treatment whenever you wish. We are here to support your needs as they evolve.
